Lawton Public Schools (LPS) has implemented a new communication tool called "Rooms". This unified communication system is for parents and guardians to communicate with their students’ teachers. Rooms is accessible through the Lawton Public Schools app.
After listening to many parent/guardians on their concerns about having multiple apps to communicate with teachers, LPS looked into a new and easier way for communication.
Rooms eliminates the need for multiple apps like, Seesaw, GroupMe, Remind 101, and others like them.
Apptegy, the web-host for the Lawton Public Schools (LPS) website, launched Rooms, a communication platform that seamlessly integrates with Google Classroom so parent/guardians can keep up-to-date with their students’ performance.
There are a few steps parents/guardians will need to take to get set up with Rooms.
Download the Lawton Public Schools app from the App Store or Play Store. An email invite from Edurooms was sent to families email address on file at the school. Upon accepting the invite, families will gain access to Rooms.
Within the app, users can switch to Rooms to see class specific announcements and send direct messages to teachers as needed.
Parent/guardians will be able to have seamless, instant access to their students’ teachers for any questions, comments or concerns regarding performance, grades, behavior, or otherwise.
Please be sure to reach out to your student's school or teacher for any questions or concerns about the use of the app.
Make sure to download the LPS APP!
