Letter from Principal Ostruske

Dear EES Families & Community Partners,

\r\n

It has been my true privilege to serve as principal of Eisenhower Elementary School (EES) for the past six years. I can honestly say that my time here has been full of blessings and a great place to be! This has never just been a job to me. I believe that education is my calling— to serve children and advocate for what is right. EES staff and students have grown immensely, we have built deep relationships, and we have learned alongside each other as students, staff, parents, and community partners. We have created a culture of growth that is talked about throughout Lawton Public Schools (LPS) and our great community. When people hear about EES, the reputation is full of strength, care, innovation, and SPIRIT. I know our EES Generals will continue to do great things!

\r\n

Over the past six years, we have built a platform that has allowed innovative teaching practices that embrace 21st century skills and tools for our students. We have grown a strong school community that has come together during a pandemic, overcome hardships and have celebrated much.

\r\n

After much thought, personal reflection, and professional guidance, I have accepted another position within LPS. It is a position that aligns deeply with what I believe and a great forward step in a career that is built on a love for learning and seeing kids succeed. Saying goodbye is never easy; however, I have full confidence in the shared mission and vision we have established here at EES. I have been humbled by how the EES families have embraced me as a leader, and I am so grateful for the students, staff and ideas you have entrusted in my care. Eisenhower Elementary School has been an excellent place to work! I am moving on, but the shared mission and vision continues to be strong. EES is stronger than ever and continues to grow because of your active support.

\r\n

Over the past six years, EES has made a commitment to “Building A Tradition of Excellence.” This will continue with the new principal, Dr. Brejcha. She is coming with years of experience and a strong belief that all students deserve every opportunity to be successful. I know you will welcome her to EES with open arms.

\r\n

Please know, as I step out of this role of EES Principal, I will take the EES S.P.I.R.I.T with me.\r\n

\r\n

\r\n

With heartfelt gratitude,\r\n

\r\n
