“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
~Gandhi

Living in a global economy requires our students to be prepared to think both critically and creatively, evaluate massive amounts of information, solve complex problems, and communicate well in order to enrich their lives. A strong foundation in reading, writing, math, and other core subjects are imperative to the success of every child’s future.

I believe my administrative, counseling, teaching, and experience as a retired military spouse has provided me with the skills and knowledge to be the change agent. As a change agent, I believe it is necessary to prepare all students to be College, Career, and Citizenship ready to compete in this global society. These attributes have contributed in my vision for Ridgecrest Elementary, to be a community where dreams are nurtured, learning is a passion, and excellence is achieved.

My mission is for Ridgecrest Elementary to be a safe, nurturing environment grounded in a relevant, comprehensive science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) curriculum. With a commitment to excellence, dedicated staff members, we will strive to ensure that our Ridgecrest students become critical thinkers, life-long learners, and responsible citizens in a global community. The students will be simply great at everything they set as a goal.

It will become the mission of the faculty and staff of Ridgecrest Elementary to work collaboratively to develop the “whole child” prepared to go beyond the walls of Ridgecrest with strong character traits, a firm academic foundation, and an understanding of success. All members of our school community will provide a positive environment where children will know they are free to take risks in their journey to becoming Career Bound Citizens. The students of Ridgecrest will excel.
