Dress Down for Cancer Days

Wolverines,

This year our campus will be supporting the American Cancer Society.  Comanche County has a few major fundraisers that provide funding for cancer research as well as to provide resources to members of the community who have been diagnosed with cancer.  (Some of the resources are make-up clinics, wigs, transportation to appointments, liquids to replenish the body, etc.)  The Ebony Society and Honor Society will be helping to raise money for the Relay for Life which is one of the county’s major fundraisers.

As a faculty and staff, I would like for us to contribute to the elimination of cancer also.  Therefore, we will have dress down for cancer days.  To participate, Ms. Rikard will have stickers in her office.  If a member of the faculty or staff would like to participate, just donate $2 for an “American Cancer Dress Down For Cancer “ sticker.  (The faculty member must wear the sticker.)  Then, you can wear your jeans and a LHS t-shirt or college t-shirt on any day of the week.  If you would like to dress down for an entire week, then you would donate $8 that will be given to Ms. Rikard.  (All of the funds will be given to the American Cancer Society.)

This is another chance for our campus to positively influence our town and county.
