GEAR UP(Gaining Early Awareness and REadiness for Undergraduate Programs) for college! The website okcollegstart.org is the offical source for plannning a college education in Oklahoma. To begin, simply click on the Plan for College tab in the top left corner. The Plan for College section shows students how planning for college early makes it ieasy to plan out their future. Start with the Planner Timeline, which can be used by students as early as 5th grade. It gives you tips on what to do each year to get ready for college. OHLAP (Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Program) is available to 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students whose annual family income is $50,000 or less-you can earn FREE COLLEGE TUITION. You may apply online (www.okpromise.org) or call Mrs. Jackson-Seeley-8th grade Counselor, for a packet and more information.
