MMS Open House set for Aug. 21

Students and a parent or guardian are invited to join the MMS staff for Open House on Friday, Aug. 21. Teachers, principals and counselors will be on hand to assist with finding classrooms and answer questions. Parents and guardians will complete sign-in documentation and have the opportunity to view a brief presentation detailing the school’s participation in the federal Title I program this year.

In order to promote healthy practices in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple safety procedures will be in place at this event. Please review the following guidelines for participation in the Open House.

• Attendees will be required to follow the schedule below, according to the last name of their student:
  • 8:00-9:00 AM – Students with last names beginning with letters T-Z
  • 9:30-10:30 AM – Students with last names beginning with letters N-S
  • 11:00 AM -12:00 PM – Students with last names beginning with letters I-M
  • 12:30-1:30 PM – Students with last names beginning with letters D-H
  • 2:00-3:00 PM – Students with last names beginning with letters A-C
• To reduce opportunities for contact transmission, parents or guardians must have their own writing utensil to complete the sign-in form
• Each student may be accompanied by ONE parent or guardian.
• Masks or other facial covering is required.
• All participants will be asked to maintain appropriate social distancing.
• Each classroom will be limited to no more than 10 visitors at a time.

Students are welcome to explore the building during their scheduled time to find classes and other important locations within the building. Once a parent or guardian has signed in and provided contact information, a copy of their student’s schedule will be provided, as well.
