Steve Schraner was born here Lawton. Mr. Schraner has one daughter, Maddie 16, and a yellow Labrador Retriever, Lacie.
Mr. Schraner attended Lawton Public Schools through the 7th grade before moving attending Elgin Schools where he graduate high school. Mr. Schraner graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, the University of Oklahoma with a Masters in Educational Leadership. Mr. Schraner is certified in Elementary Education 1-8 and Elementary Principal K-8.
Mr. Schraner has been a member of the LPS staff for 33 years. He taught at Woodland Hills Elementary and Douglass Learning Center. Mr. Schraner has served as an Elementary Assistant at Pat Henry, Geronimo Road and Douglass Learning Center before become an Elementary Principal at Pioneer Park, Howell and B. C. Swinney. Before becoming an Assistant Principal at MacArthur Middle School, Mr. Schraner was an Assistant Principal at Eisenhower Middle School and Tomlinson Middle School. Mr. Schraner enjoys watching softball, geocaching and fishing.
